FC Basel V Lech Poznan. 7:15PM

It’s advantage Basel as Urs Fischer’s men enter this crucial second leg with a 3-1 lead over Lech Poznan, and the Swiss hosts will be fully expected to progress at St-Jakob Park.

Basel have won all four matches in 2015/16, scoring 11 goals in the process. With Matias Delgado starting the season in good form, supporting an equally talented strikeforce of Marc Janko and Shkelzen Gashi, it would be a surprise if they fail to find the target here.

It looks pretty bleak for the Polish visitors, but the situation could help our bet. Maciej Sjorza’s men need goals and will need to take an attacking approach; hopefully this will lead to goals at either end.

Basel should win but we’d fancy the visitors to score at some stage.

Club Brugge V Panathinaikos. 7:30PM

After surrendering an early advantage in Greece, Michel Preud’homme’s Club Brugge are in need of goals at the Jan Breydelstadion. However, the Belgians should expect a difficult test against a capable away side.

Panathinaikos take a slender 2-1 lead into this clash but manager Yannis Anastasiou will be fully aware that a 1-0 defeat would see his side eliminated. Consequently, we can expect the Greeks to want a goal or two and they’ll be looking to the likes of Mladen Petric for that inspiration.

Nonetheless, Brugge will fancy goals on home soil. The Belgians do have some quality and will also take confidence from their 3-0 weekend win against Pro League rivals Mechelen. They simply must score to have any chance of advancing, and we think they will.

This might not be a seven-goal thriller, but both teams can score.

Partizan Belgrade V Steaua Bucharest. 7:45PM

Our final selection comes from the Partizan Staidum as the Serbian’s look to complete a fantastic job against Romanian giants Steaua Bucharest. A 1-1 draw in Romania has certainly given the underdogs a chance, and the home crowd could spur the hosts on to success.

The visitors were memorably knocked out by Ludogorets in last year’s qualifying stage and will be desperate to make amends this year. However, they’ve given themselves a difficult task as they head to the Serbian capital. Fortunately, they do have enough firepower to seal their place in the play-off round.

However, the hosts shouldn’t be ruled out. Valeri Bojinov is a quality striker that Manchester City fans will remember while youngster Ivan Saponjic is looking like a very decent prospect too. If they can get break the deadlock, Partizan have every chance of progressing.

This is one of the most exciting matches of the night, and we’re predicting ample drama. Back both teams to score.
