Both Teams To Score Saturday 25th May – Rely On Action At Wembley

goals galoreSaturday used to be such an action packed day of Football but these days we have to settle with what we can find. I’ve been digging through football across the world this Saturday to bring you the best bets for a little Both Teams to Score bet.

Borussia Dortmund vs Bayern Munich
I just couldn’t ignore what is obviously the highlight fixture of Saturday’s schedule. Bayern Munich aren’t exactly known for their defensive errors with clean sheet after clean sheet this season but the Champions League Final is an entirely different competition, and Dortmund are an entirely different opponent.

In Bayern’s last game of the season they let in 3 early goals at Monchengladbach, perhaps a sign that their rock solid defence is starting to crumble?  With Dortmund having scored in 4 of their last 5 meetings with the Champions, I don’t see this fixture being as much of a walkover as most people expect. Their target man Lewandowski is in inspired form as of late and it wouldn’t be a shock to see him on the scoresheet.

I don’t think there’s really any doubt that Bayern will find the net in this game. They’ve scored in their last 6 meetings with Dortmund and have failed to find the net only once in the last 12 months in “that game” against Arsenal. Their goal scoring power is second to none but though I feel they could probably find the net with their eyes closed, Dortmund always pose a threat, and in a fixture of such importance, both teams should find the net.

Valerenga vs Rosenborg
Though Rosenborg’s last fixture finished with a 0-0 draw against bottom of the league Molde, I’m not put off in the slightest. I’m not even put off by the fact that the last meeting between these two sides at Valerenga also finished 0-0. The reason for this is because if we put the odd blip aside, both of these sides can score goals, especially the visitors.

Rosenborg sit 2nd in the Norwegian league and in their 5 away league games so far this season, they’ve scored a total of 10 goals, scoring in each of their fixtures. In their last 3 away from home though they’ve also managed to let their hosts find the net conceding 6 goals in these 3 games against opposition who, on paper, shouldn’t have found the net.

Given that Valerenga have scored in all but 3 home games in the last 12 months, I fully expect them to find the net today despite their lower league position. They sit 11th in the league but have managed to score in 4 of their 5 home games so far this season, the only exception being a 0-3 loss against league leaders Stromgodset.

Take a quick look over this fixture and you’d normally write it off your coupon straight away, but this could be the meeting that’s full of goals and with both teams in good scoring form at home and away respectively, I expect both teams to score today.

Alcorcon vs Almeria
I love a Both Teams to Score bet on a game which has great importance. Both teams simply have to score in this fixture to maintain their position in a tightly clustered Spanish Segunda division. Almeria sit 2nd in the league and are currently in pole position in a group of 6 teams that can still gain promotion to La Liga. Another one of those sides is today’s hosts; Alcorcon who sit 5th in the league but are only 2 points behind Almeria.

The desire to be promoted from both of these sides is evident in their recent results. Pushing for the win often causes gaps at the back and both sides have been full of / leaking goals as of late. Alcorcon’s last 4 consecutive games have seen both teams find the back of the net but having found a goal themselves in all but 2 of their home games in all competitions this season, there shouldn’t be a problem from the home sides point of view.

For Almeria there has been a similar effect from their push for promotion. Their last 3 consecutive games have all seen both teams find the back of the net and in their last away game they put 5 past Lugo.
