Both Teams To Score Trends And Tips – Stats For Saturday 18th Jan

Last week I wrote an early article featuring the latest trending teams to either follow or give a wide berth on your both teams to score coupon. After receiving some positive feedback on the early heads up I’ve decided to do the same again for the action ahead of us this weekend.

The winter break around Europe is almost finished and in the next 10 days or so we’ll be back to the jam packed schedule of football that we know and love. Here are some pointers for the weekend ahead:

Hot both teams to score clubs

Heerenveen

Dutch Eredivisie club Heerenveen have a truly fantastic both teams to score record this term. In their 9 home games to date they’ve scored and conceded in EVERY single match they’ve played, making their overall home BTTS 100%. Their overall BTTS stats for the season are 88.9%.

This is obviously the result of the style of attacking football they play in front of home fans, making them a hugely favourable team on your both teams to score coupon.

Heerenveen have the best home attack in the division, scoring no less than 26 goals. However, with 20 goals conceded it makes them the 3rd worst home defence.

This Saturday they take on Roda JC who are embroiled in the fight against relegation; currently just 1 point clear of the dreaded red zone. The marvellous fact about Roda is that they’ve scored and conceded in their last 9 games on the spin; including a massive 13 goals scored in their last 5 away games. As BTTS bankers go, this game looks the best game of the season so far.

The one niggling doubt? This is the first game back after the winter break. However there are too many positives to put me off of this bet.

Albion Rovers

The Scottish 2nd division side sit in 5th place in the league table, and up until the 4th January they had a 100% record of scoring and conceding when playing away from home.

That stat was nipped in the bud when they lost 2-0 at 2nd placed Annan Athletic just under a fortnight ago, but they obviously go for it when on the road, hence their 90% (9/10) record of both teams to score when away from home.

This Saturday they travel to East Stirling who have only failed to score twice at home this season. It looks a great addition to your both team to score coupon. We know the odds aren’t the best for BTTS in Scotland, but this one looks a banker.

Cold both teams to score clubs

Birmingham

Birmingham were returning some nice BTTS stats earlier in the season, but now they are a team to steer clear of, at least for now.

They’ve kept clean sheets in 3 of their last 5 away games, and also lost 1-0 to Brighton last weekend on the road. This weekend they’re at home to Yeovil, and it really is hit and miss according to the stats whether they’ll concede or not.

Both teams fall well short of an overall 65% BTTS record so this match should be struck off as a possible selection.

Blackburn Rovers

13 of Rovers 25 games this season has seen at least 1 team fail to score (52%). This weekend they travel to Nottingham Forest, who’s home BTTS record is just 50%.

Summary of bets

  • Heerenveen v Roda JC BTTS – 7.45pm Saturday
  • East Stirling v Albion Rovers BTTS – 3.00pm Saturday
