Yeovil v Leeds

12.15pm Saturday
Leeds to win and BTTS – 15/4 – Coral

It is getting towards the business end of the season and Yeovil need points and quickly to have a chance of staying up. All home games will be treated like a Cup final if they have a chance of survival and they need to start going all out for goals.

I can see them scoring and adding to Leeds tally of conceding, as the visitors haven’t kept a clean sheet in any of their last seven matches. Unfortunately the Glovers are bottom of the Championship for a reason. With the smallest budget in the division they have found life difficult throughout the season having lost 17 of their 27 games which as seen them concede 44 goals.

Leeds have been is disarray for a week with managerial comings and goings; Will he go or wont he? Has he or hasn’t he? At the end of all of the uncertainty we are led to believe Brian McDermott is remaining Leeds United manager.

The players showed their support to the former Reading boss by registering a huge 5-1 victory last weekend over Huddersfield at Elland Road which included a hatrick from club captain Ross McCormack. I can only see United pulling together this week and putting on a similar display here against Yeovil for their under pressure boss.

Yeovil have lost more home games than not and have kept a clean sheet just twice throughout the campaign and I can see the Yorkshire club inflicting even more misery on Saturday.

Coral offer

Leyton Orient v Peterborough

3.00pm Saturday
Leyton Orient to win and BTTS – 29/10 – Coral

Leyton Orient are just three points off top spot and have promotion very much in their plans now after hitting the ground running in August and continuing the good form till now eradicating views that it was just a purple patch.

At home Orient have won eight of their 12 league games and have scored a special 26 goals along the way. A huge 59 have been scored all together and with Kevin Lisbie and David Mooney in the side goals are never far away. I cannot see anything other than a strong home win here with Peterborough continuing their goal scoring streak.

Peterborough are on a streak of four away games in a row where they have suffered defeat and they couldn’t ask for a tougher game on the road than against Leyton Orient. What looks great for our bet is that despite losing these four ties they did in fact also score which would have fulfilled the market we are targeting today.

Peterborough have always been good for goals and considering they’re awful form in the last few months they have actually scored a goal in each of their last 11 games and have only failed to score away from London Road on two occasions all season. Expect defeat but I am sure a consolation will be on the cards.

Colchester United v Rotherham United

3.00pm Saturday
Rotherham to win and BTTS – 29/10 – Coral

Colchester find themselves in a little bit of a quandary as they are comfortably seven points above the relegation zone with no worries of a bottom of the table scrap but they are 12 points away from a Play off place as it looks like mid table mediocrity may be their position in May.

Goals though seem to be no problem though, if we look at the U’s last five home games, they have managed to score 11 goals and came out winners in three of the five. Looking at the opposition of Gillingham, Crewe, Stevenage, Notts County and MK Dons, none of these sides posed the threat that Rotherham will and even though I expect Colchester to score I can see Rotherham taking the three points.

Rotherham are another side who have excelled themselves so far this year. Having been promoted from League One they are now looking good for one of the much heralded Play Off spots.

Five points clear from Walsall who sit just outside the places, Rotherham need to continue picking up points to ensure they keep their position. Last week the Millers registered a fantastic result by beating Leyton Orient 2-1 and sending a message to rivals that the Millers are here to stay.

With the form Rotherham are on and their excellent away record I can see them picking up yet another win here.
