BTTS Tips By Comp Leader @Footyexperttips – Sat 12th December

Thanks everyone who’s been following my treble each weekend, it’s nice to get a few on board.

After a lot of good feedback I’ve put together a write with this weeks treble.

I’m buzzing to still be top of the BTTS tipping table and looking at taking the monthly crown again in December (I know there’s a few with other ideas!)

After missing out on the treble by 1 game last week I’m looking to bounce back with a winning treble and I’m confident that I’ve picked a solid 3 games.

Colchester vs Barnsley

My 1st game comes from league 1 and is also my BTTS NAP for this weekend.

Since the decent run of form around the end of August which saw them tinker with the playoffs, this young Colchester side have struggled to string a few wins together.

This hasn’t stopped them scoring themselves though, they have found the net in 8 of the last 9 games, however in these 9 games  they have conceded an alarming 26 goals.

Barnsley have picked up in the last month or so and Lee Johnson has got them playing some good football. I know a few big Reds and they have been happy with the stuff they are now playing.

Going forward they’ve improved a lot but they have also found leaking goals a problem, the same as Colchester. This is especially poor away from home where they haven’t kept a clean sheet in the last 13 games.

Looking at both teams recent records at both ends of the field I can only see goals in this game too.

Sunderland vs Watford

There is always a surprise team newly promoted to the Premier League and that surprise team is Watford for sure.

4 wins in the last 6 have taken them mid table.

The recent form of Troy Deeney has been a big factor in this seeing him scoring 5 in the last 6 games, 4 have come in consecutive games and will be looking to make this 5 on the trot, so this sees him as the biggest threat I feel on the pitch.

Their recent away form is pretty good too, clocking up 10 points from the last 5 on the road. They’ve found the net in 9 of the last 11 games and I can see them improving this record today.

Sunderland are in a decent little run of form themselves. I’ve watched the last few games and they’ve started creating plenty of chances.

They’ve seen 2 wins in the last 3, clocking up good wins against decent Stoke & Palace teams.

A bit of a blow to them is the loss of Steven Fletcher but the return of Defoe comes at the perfect time and as we all know is a decent threat himself.

The head to head between these 2 is a bit too old to take into account but given the recent stats I can see both teams scoring.

St Johnstone vs Celtic

I always try and have all 3 games of my treble to play on the Saturday but I couldn’t leave this game out so the final game is from the Scottish Premier on Sunday.

A few times this season I’ve backed St Johnstone where goals are concerned and they have not let me down so far.

They have found the back of the net in every single game this season, 19 in total.

Tommy Wright has a good experienced team at McDiarmid Park and non so more than Steve Maclean (ex Owls favourite) who given half a chance will find the back of the net.

Their recent away form is what’s been talked about having won the last 7 on the road but their home form is also pretty decent, in the last 6 games they’ve taken 13 points.

They will always be a threat going forward and I’m sure they will continue there brilliant scoring streak and make it 20 consecutive games games finding the net.

Celtic on the other hand don’t really need much hyping up about finding the net. As we all know they are by far the top team in the division.

Their last 9 games have seen them keep only 1 clean sheet though so proves the defence is a way off being perfect.

Celtic will have played in the Europa league this Thursday too and we all know about the top teams under performing after playing in this competition towards the end of the week.

I’m not ruling out a Celtic win but can see both sides scoring.
