BTTS Notebook – Some Stats To Remember For The Weekend 8/9th Feb

It’s that time of week again. The early bird catches the worm and there’s no time like the present to go stat hunting for both teams to score information with plenty of time until the games kick off.

Last weekends btts treble by myself was a little disappointing as only the 3.00pm game came good so I’ll be searching extra hard this time around to ensure  return.

Take a little look at my findings.. Some of them are sure to end up in my final cut for the weekend which I’ll be posting on Thursday afternoon.

Heerenveen and SV Hamburg may be worth swerving for the time being. Despite having great overall BTTS stats, they’ve both disappointed when it comes to goals in the last couple of games. Hamburg have failed to score in 2 games now and Heerenveen kept a super rare clean sheet last weekend.

Mainz

German Bundesliga side Mainz sit in 7th place in the league and are continue to impress in their performances. They are actually in the hunt for European competition next season and are undefeated since the end of November.

What really excites me here is the fact that they’ve scored and conceded in each and every away game they’ve played this season, including at the Allianz Arena where they lost 4-1 to Bayern Munich.

This weekend they face Wolfsburg at the Volkswagen Arena and I’m expecting goals. The home side sit in 6th position in the league and have failed to score just twice at home in the last 14 months. With 18 goals being scored in their last 5 games (all of which both teams have scored) this looks a fantastic match to be added to coupons.

Roda JC

Dutch club Roda are definitely worth a mention for their away both teams to score form. Despite sitting in 16th place in the league, just 2 places off the bottom Roda have scored 20 goals on their travels in 10 games; an amazing average of 2 goals per game!

They’ve scored 11 goals in their last 5 away games; including AZ Alkmaar (2-2) Heerenveen (2-2) and NEC (4-3), all 5 of which have seen both teams score.

This weekend they face a trip to NAC Breda and I fully expect them to notch up another BTTS game. It’s well worth remembering Roda for the next few weeks. Their scoring rate is fantastic for a team struggling against relegation.

Stuttgart

Bundesliga club Stuttgart have scored and conceded in 7 of 9 home games this season, failing to score only against Leverkusen (0-1) and M’Gladbach (0-2).

This Sunday they some up against Augsburg who have scored in 7 of their 10 away games this season. With Stuttgart failing to keep a single clean sheet I’m very confident the visitors will score, and with the home side not being shy in front of goal this looks a great game for BTTS.
