BTTS Treble Tips Saturday 5th September – Back Goals To Flow At St James’ Park

It’s a new month, and we’re hoping to start it in fitting fashion with this 4/1 treble on the both teams to score coupon.

A lack of matches in the top two divisions mean we’ve picked six teams from the fourth and fifth tiers of English football. However, these divisions have already provided lots of drama in the first month of the campaign. Let’s hope September starts a similar fashion.

Good luck!

Exeter City V Leyton Orient

Ian Hendon’s O’s have enjoyed a perfect start to their League Two campaign and are already looking like a great bet to gain promotion back to the third tier. However, many fans will think the trip to St James’ Park signals their toughest fixture so far, and it might not be plain sailing against the Grecians.

Leyton Orient have netted 13 goals in their five matches thus far, with strikers Paul McCallum and Jay Simpson bagging seven between them already. They’ve netted three in each of their previous two matches on the road, and should be a good bet to find the target on Saturday.

However, the O’s have also conceded in both of those away games. This will give afford a degree of confidence to an Exeter City side that has already found the net six times in 2015/16. On the other hand, Paul Tisdale’s men have shipped eight at the wrong end.

The home side can find the target, but we’re not sure if they can stop the rampant O’s. Back both teams to score.

Yeovil Town V Morecambe

Like Leyton Orient, Yeovil Town were one of the unfortunate sides to suffer relegation from League One last term. Sadly for the Glovers, their troubles have continued into 2015/16 and they enter Saturday’s clash with Morecambe with just three points in the bag.

However, Paul Sturrock’s men can take confidence from their win over Luton in their previous home league game. Meanwhile, Tuesday’s JPT win over Barnet means the hosts are now looking to complete a hat-trick of wins at Huish Park. Whether they can get it or not remains to be seen, but they should be confident about scoring goals.

Morecambe will be all too aware that the hosts are yet to keep a clean sheet in the league, though, and Jim Bentley’ Shrimps will be looking to punish that vulnerable home defence. The visitors have started the season quite well too and are currently sitting in 10th position. This isn’t an easy trip, but they can be optimistic about securing at least one point.

Both teams have been scoring and conceding at least one goal per game. We’re backing that trend to continue here.

Aldershot Town V Halifax Town

Conference side Halifax finally got their season up and running with a decent 3-1 win over Barrow on bank holiday Monday, and the Shaymen will be hopeful of following that up with a first away triumph at the Recreation Ground. However, Neil Aspin’s men shouldn’t expect thing all their own way against a combative Shots side.

The visitors might not be in the best form this term, but they have scored nine goals in seven league games this term. They will be particularly pleased with Jordan Burrow’s return of six strikes, and will be confident about finding the net against a home side that has leaked five goals in three home games so far.

Nonetheless, Halifax’s poor defence is a major concern for the travelling fans. They’ve already shipped seven goals in this year’s Conference campaign, and are still looking for their first home goal. Quite frankly, it would be a surprise if they can keep Barry Smith’s side at bay.

The past two meetings at this stadium have ended in score draws. A similar result wouldn’t surprise us one bit.
