Both Teams To Score Tips Saturday 27th February – Goals To Flow At St Mary’s

It’s the final weekend of February, and we’re hoping that these six teams will provide us with a Saturday winner on the BTTS coupon.

We’re hopeful that these three games will bring goals at both ends of the pitch and, at odds of 4/1, it has to be worth a punt.

Good luck!

Southampton V Chelsea

The champions might be out of the title race, but they have improved massively under Guus Hiddink and will fancy their chances of another big win against Southampton. However, there’s a strong chance that they will need several goals to get those crucial three points.

Chelsea are undefeated, domestically, since Hiddink arrived for his second stint and have seen improved form from the likes of Diego Costa and even Eden Hazard. Nevertheless, it’s worth noting that the Blues boast just two clean sheets in nine. If they perform anything like they did in the 3-1 loss to Southampton earlier in the season, a shutout will be virtually impossible.

Ronald Koeman’s men have gone quietly about their business in recent weeks and are now sixth following a six game unbeaten run. This is a difficult test for the home side, though. Furthermore, Fraser Forster’s incredible run of clean sheets has to end sooner rather than later. This should be the game where that happens.

It could go either way, but we expect both teams to find the target. And that’s exactly where we’re putting our money.

Rotherham United V Brentford

Life at the New York Stadium hasn’t started particularly well for Neil Warnock, and his Millers side are already entering desperate territory in their bid to clinch Championship survival. But if they want to turn things around, then they will have to start by ending their goal drought against Brentford.

Rotherham have failed to hit the target in three consecutive matches, but do boast 22 in 15 home matches. Meanwhile, the goals of Jonson Clarke-Harris and Matt Derbyshire should give them a chance against the Bees, especially as the visitors haven’t kept a shutout on the road since late October.

Nonetheless, Dean Smith’s visitors will be confident following a 3-0 home win last week. They can also take heart from a 2-1 win in the reverse clash at Griffin Park. If Lasse Vibe and Alan Judge have their shooting boots on, the Brentford have more than enough quality to compound Rotherham’s misery.

It’s unlikely to be the most exciting game of the day, but we do predict goals. Back both teams to score.

Morecambe V Carlisle United

Goals have been a common feature for Jim Bentley’s Morecambe in recent weeks, with nine consecutive matches ending in BTTS winners. In truth, it’s hard to see the trend ending as they welcome Carlisle United to the Globe Arena.

Morecambe’s 16 home games have brought 25 goals for the hosts and 30 against them. With Shaun Miller boasting 11 league goals, along with four midfielders hitting seven or more, there’s no reason to think the Shrimps would fire a blank against the Cumbrians.

Nevertheless, Keith Curle’s will expect to score too. The visitors already boast 19 goals on the road and have more than enough firepower to give Morecambe a run for their money. After all, the hosts haven’t kept a clean sheet since January 2nd.

The reverse clash at Brunton Park ended in a 3-2 win for Morecambe. Another five goals would almost certainly bring a winning selection here.
