BTTS Tips Wednesday 14th October – Goals On The Cards At The Racecourse

Wednesday’s football action is relatively limited, but there’s still enough selections to put this BTTS treble.

The midweek bet is a mixture of yes and no matches. Let’s hope these three picks can help us build on Saturday’s win by landing an impressive 6/1 winner at Betfred.

Good luck!

Wrexham V Guiseley

After a promising start to the campaign, Gary Mills’ Wrexham have suffered a five-game winless streak to drop down to 10th in the Conference table. However, the Dragons will be eager to bounce back in style as they welcome Guiseley to the Racecourse.

Although the hosts haven’t been able to win, they have at least found the target in each of their last four. Overall, they boast 28 from 16 matches, including 17 in eight games on Welsh soil. Nonetheless, they will be more than slightly concerned by their 22 goals conceded.

Visiting Guiseley are in a bad way too, having lost each of their three without scoring. Nonetheless, Mark Bower’s men will view a vulnerable Wrexham as a chance to end that goal drought – even if securing the points looks beyond them.
This is a clash between two very poor defences, and we’re backing the attacking units to take advantage. We’ll edge towards a Wrexham win, but do think the visitors score too.

Leganes V Alaves

With a lack of matches to choose from on Wednesday, we’ve opened up our options to the BTTS ‘NO’ market, and think we’ve found a definite player in the Copa del Rey as goal-shy Leganes take on an Alaves.

Three of the home side’s last four matches have ended goalless while their victory in the last round of this competition came via a both teams to score loser too. Perhaps more significantly, they drew 0-0 against tonight’s opponents just over two weeks ago in the league.

Alaves have hardly been the most exciting team to watch this season either. None of their last four matches have seen both teams to score and, like their opponents, they boast only two players that have scored more than one goal this campaign.

Anything can happen in the cup. If league form is anything to go by, though, this should be another quiet fixture.

Real Oviedo V Mirandes

Staying with the Copa del Rey, our final selection comes from the Estadio Nuevo Carlos Tartiere as Real Oviedo take on Segunda rivals Mirandes.

These two sides are separated by goal difference alone in the league, and it should be an end-to-end contest here. With Oviedo being involved in four consecutive BTTS winners, we have to fancy goals for and against Sergio Egea’s men.

Meanwhile, the visitors have seen goals at either end in five of their last seven competitive matches. Carlos Terrazas’ men will be out to find the target, but we can’t see them keeping a first away shutout of 2015/16.

It’s unlikely to be a nine-goal thriller, but there is reason to think this can be a game of goals. Back both teams to score.
