Both Teams To Score Tips For Saturday 8th September: Crewe And Tranmere Should Produce Goals

With the distinct lack of top flight fixtures across Europe, it may not first appear like a classic weekend for goals. but all is not as it seems, and there could be plenty of goalmouth action in the UK lower leagues, including at Conference level.

I’m not advising massive bets this weekend, but there are some tasty looking games which should involve plenty of goals and that’s exactly what we want for our both teams to score bets.

Here are my picks for Saturday 8th September:-

Crewe v Tranmere

Crewe are well known for their goal scoring and conceding ability, and Tranmere are becoming a force to be reckoned with under Ronnie Moore. The Railwaymen already have a rather poor goal concession rate this season, and Tranmere, who have already scored 12 times in their 4 games, should have a field day.

Score prediction: 1-3

Notts County v Shrewsbury

Walsall v MK Dons

Walsall held Brentford to a 2-2 draw last weekend, and I’m predicting a similar scoreline when MK Dons visit the Bescott on Saturday. Milton Keynes have collected 7 points from their opening 4 games, but it’s last season’s away record that interests me most for the goals galore bet.

Before their 1-0 loss to high flying Swindon a fortnight ago, MK had scored in all of their previous 20 away games, and thats something that cant be ignored. Walsall have shipped 5 goals in their opening 2 home games this season, and I’m taking these teams to play out a score draw.

Score prediction: 2-2

Cambridge United v Wrexham

Down to the Conference here, and I’ve got a hunch that Wrexham could take the points here in a game of  a few goals. Cambridge have scored and conceded in all of their last 4 games, their latest result being a 3-2 loss away at potential champions Luton.

Wrexham have a good quality team, and although they don’t score a great deal of goals, they always seem to pop up with at least 1 to take the points. Cambridge aren’t looking as solid at the back as they have done in the past and I’m suggesting both teams will score here without too many problems.

Score prediction: 1-2
