Anytime Goalscorer Tips Saturday 30th January – Back My FA Cup Trio

I’ve hit two out of three in each of the last two weekends, but this week I’m looking for the full house, and I’ll be targeting the FA Cup 4th round to do it.

I’m backing three Premier League stars to score against Football League opposition. Another repeat of two winners would secure profit; a treble would feel like winning the trophy itself.

I do love the magic of the cup.

Arsenal V Burnley

Arsene Wenger’s men are just five games away from history as they look to win a third consecutive FA Cup trophy, and I can’t see the Gunners having any problems as they take on Burnley at the Emirates at 3pm on Saturday.

In all honesty, I can’t see any reason the Premier League hosts can’t score at least two or three goals. In my opinion, Aaron Ramsey is one of the leading candidates to find the target. The Welshman has loved breaking from midfield in the absence of Santi Cazorla, and this is a game where he should have no problem ghosting into the box.

Arsenal hasn’t scored in either of their last two fixtures, but Ramsey did get his name on the scoresheet in each of his two appearances before it. One of those goals came in round three against Sunderland, and there’s no reason to doubt his ability again.

At 7/4, the 24-year-old is my bet of the day.

Nottingham Forest V Watford

With Premier League survival virtually secured, Quique Sanchez Flores’s Hornets have a real opportunity to go for glory in the FA Cup, and Odion Ighalo has to be their primary source of inspiration.

The in-form striker served me very well last weekend, and I’m backing him to repeat the feat with another goal this weekend as Watford take on Nottingham Forest on Saturday at 3pm. The Championship hosts are in excellent form, but Dougie Freedman’s men can be exploited defensively.

Watford certainly has the quality to pull apart those problems, and the partnership of Ighalo and Troy Deeney will give the visitors an excellent chance of progressing to the 5th round. The Nigerian had been on a slight goal drought before last weekend, but his return to confidence should leave him in inspired mood against the Reds.

Even though he’s playing on the road, I simply can’t resist the 26-year-old to grab a cup goal. Come on Odion, give me another winner.

West Bromwich Albion V Peterborough United

My final week from FA Cup weekend is Salomon Rondon. The Baggies’ summer signing hasn’t exactly sparkled in front of goal, but he has shown his ability throughout the campaign. I’m backing him to follow up his 3rd round winner against Bristol City with another cup goal against Peterborough.

The former Zenit star is West Brom’s brightest talent, especially as Saido Berahino is so out-of-favour. Regardless of Tony Pulis’s dour brand of football, I can’t see them struggling to find the target against the League One visitors.

After all, Graham Westley’s men have shipped two in each of their last four away games. Even if the Baggies only score once, I think the Venezuelan will be the man to grab it. And if he’s joined on the scoresheet by Ramsey and Ighalo, I’ll be celebrating a fantastic treble.

As well as the three singles, I’ll be placing the treble too. For a £10 treble, the return will be a huge £178.20 at BetVictor. What a way to celebrate the Cup in style.
