Ian’s Saturday Both Teams To Score Predictions 18th Jan – A Very Confident Treble

After getting my both teams to score treble up on Tuesday night I’ve got the taste for it now and decided that it wouldn’t hurt to post another for this Saturday’s football action.

Our main BTTS man Sam is still on the case with his own selections, but mine have more of a European flavour. There’s nothing wrong with a little friendly rivalry is there!

Anyway, here is where my money is going on this Saturday’s both teams to score coupon.

Heerenveen v Roda JC

Dutch Eredivisie – 7.45pm
Both teams to score odds – 1.4 BetVictor

I went into depth with this game in my stats article earlier in the week, and I simply can’t see this game not having plenty of goals in it. Heerenveen have scored and conceded in every home game this season, have one of the best attacks in the league, but also one of the leakiest defences.

Roda JC are battling relegation but this hasn’t stopped them scoring goals, they just don’t seem able to prevent themselves from conceding more than they get. They’ve scored and conceded in their last 6 games both home and away, and will be looking to ket their season back on track this weekend.

Recent meetings between the two teams also screams out goals. They played out a thrilling 3-3 draw in the reverse fixture this season, and have also drawn 4-4 in recent seasons. This is quite possibly my most confident BTTS pick of the season so far.

East Stirling v Albion Rovers

Scottish League 2 – 3.00pm
Both teams to score odds – 1.57 BetVictor

Another one from my stats related article earlier in the week that I just couldn’t resist adding.

Albion Rovers have a 90% BTTS rate when away from home this season, and they face an East Stirling side that have only failed to score once at home so far, but have only kept 3 clean sheets.

Their 2-0 home victory over top of the table Peterhead last weekend looks a slight worry on paper for BTTS, but I can assure you that I’ve checked the match stats on that game and Peterhead absolutely dominated the game in terms of dangerous attacks and shots. It just wasn’t their day.

These are two very equally matched teams. Both have 29 points and a very similar goal difference at the halfway point of the season.Albion Rovers beat East Stirling 3-2 in the reverse fixture played in early December, and their last 3 meetings has seen both teams find the net. Another very confident pick for BTTS.

Preston v Coventry

League 1 – 3.00pm
Both teams to score odds – 1.73 BetVictor

If there aren’t goals in this game I will be totally shocked. Coventry are already a punters favourite when it comes to BTTS. 13 of their last 15 games has seen them score and concede, including a current run of 10 consecutive games.

Preston will be thrilled with their 3-2 win over Ipswich in their FA Cup replay on Tuesday (one of my picks), and imagine just how confident striker Joe Garner will be coming into this game. A 20 minute hatrick in the FA Cup against a team from the division is a rather rare event to say the least and he will be eager to get back on the pitch on Saturday.

Add the above info to the fact that these two have already played out a 4-4 draw this season and their last 9 consecutive head to heads since 2009 has seen goals for both teams, it simply can’t fail to come to fruition again on Saturday (as we know football is a funny old game though).

All in all, a very confident treble for Saturday’s BTTS coupon.

bet-nowSaturday’s treble pays best at BetVictor, where a £10 stake will return £38.00. If you add another 2 of your own picks you’ll qualify for a refund if only 1 of your 5 selections lets you down. Only with BetVictor.
