JC’s BTTS Tips Saturday 17th January – Take Goals Galore in Seagulls Clash

MOBILE ONLY exclusive. 4/1 for BTTS in the Man City v Arsenal game!

The Championship and League One picks let us down last week as only the home side scored in Cardiff’s clash with Fulham  and Chesterfield’s match against Port Vale, but the Premier League obliged as Palace and Spurs each scored. Of course, we’re not easily defeated, so after burying our heads in the stat books, with one pick from each of England’s top three divisions, find our selections for this Saturday’s BTTS treble beneath:

QPR v Man Utd

Ok, so Harry could get the chop soon – maybe if he loses this game – and QPR only have a BTTS percentage of 54.5 (6/11) in their eleven Premier League games played in 2014/15, but both teams have scored in two of their last three home games and it’s hard to ignore how often BTTS Yes yields profit in Manchester United’s away games.

Indeed, seven out the Red Devils’ ten away Premier League fixtures have seen both teams score, including four of their last five, and teams such as Aston Villa and West Brom have netted against van Gaal’s boys so why not a QPR side that scored twice against Man City and Liverpool?

Brighton v Brentford

Statistically, this is the best home v away BTTS Yes matchup in the Championship on Saturday as 66.7% of Brighton’s home matches (8/12) have seen both teams score, including their last, while Brentford’s away contests have resulted in both teams scoring in exactly the same amount of games (8/12), including their last six straight.

Scunthorpe v Bristol City

Just like our Championship offering, this is League One’s best home v away BTTS Yes matchup on paper. Scunthorpe are the biggest contributor, with 70% (7/10) of their home games seeing both teams score. Stunningly, there’s an overall BTTS Yes hit-rate of 77.3% (18/22) in Scunthorpe’s home and away matches combined, so you can almost argue that they’ll score and concede against anyone in the league, at any ground.

Bristol City, for their part, have scored and conceded in 66.7% (8/12) of their away games in 2014/15, including in their last road contest, a 3-1 defeat of Gillingham, so we should have a good bet on our hands here.
