The Championship reaches it’s climax on Sunday as all 24 teams take to the field at 12PM, and we’re expecting to see goals galore from what is undoubtedly one of the most exciting divisions in world football.
Many teams still have plenty to play for too, which should add to the excitement. We’re backing three teams to win end the campaign with three points, albeit in spite of conceding, int his huge 37/1 treble.
Here are our selections.
Bristol City v Birmingham City
Harry Redknapp looks to have passed the test of keeping Birmingham in the Championship thanks to last weekend’s win over Huddersfield, but the Blues remain five away games without a victory and we cannot see them grabbing three points against an in-form Bristol City.
Like Birmingham, the Robins have flirted with relegation at times. Lee Johnson’s men are now unbeaten in six at Ashton Gate and will be looking to end their campaign in style with a fifth win on the spin here. With Tammy Abraham and co. scoring at a particularly rapid rate in recent weeks, along with Birmingham’s defensive frailties, there’s no reason to think that they can’t grab a couple here.
The hosts have leaked 25 on home soil, though, which can give the visitors confidence of increasing their away tally of 19 goals in 22 games. Still, that record suggests that scoring more than one could be a step too far for the visitors.
Birmingham did win the reverse clash via a 1-0 scoreline and we expect them to score once more here. Unfortunately for them, the hosts are more than capable of hitting the target on several occasions. On a brighter note for the visitors, a loss is unlikely to cost them their Championship status.

Norwich City v QPR
Goals have been a common feature at Carrow Road this term, and the Canaries enter their final match of the season having netted an impressive 51 goals, registering 14 wins and four draws from 22 games. They shouldn’t expect to have things all their own way as they welcome QPR, but the hosts are more than capable of winning.
Norwich have kept just one clean sheet in their last seven, though, and QPR will be eager to give their fans something to cheer. The R’s have scored 22 in 22 away games while the hosts have conceded 22 in 22. Do not be surprised if both end the season with that one goal per game stat in tact.
The Canaries have scored two or more in nine of their last 11 home games, however, and also scored three at Leeds last week. With the firepower of Cameron Jerome, Nelson Oliveira, and co. at their disposal, there’s every chance that they’ll score two or three here.
Back a home win, but don’t be surprised in QPR score too.

Newcastle United v Barnsley
Automatic promotion has already been sealed by Newcastle, but the Magpies could still win the title should Brighton slip against Aston Villa. In truth, it would be very surprising to see anything other than a home win.
Rafa Benitez’s men have hit 46 goals in 22 home games this term, and should have little problem finding the target against an away side that’s shipped 31 on the road. If they can create chances for Dwight Gayle, the hosts should score enough goals to claim the three points.
Nevertheless, it’s worth noting that the Tykes have hit 32 goals on their travels too. Given that Newcastle have shipped 23 goals at St James’ Park, the visitors are quite likely to grab a consolation.
Newcastle picked up a 2-0 win at Oakwell back in October and should pick up a victory here. On this occasion, though, we’re backing Barnsley to end their campaign by finding the net also.
