4/1 Chelsea + £88 free bets [/toggle]Sunderland V Tottenham Hotspur
The Premier League returns after a week of international fixtures and Mauricio Pochettino will be eager to get back to winning ways following his first loss as Spurs boss against Liverpool.
A damaging 3-0 loss at White Hart Lane brought Pochettino’s honeymoon period to an abrupt conclusion but the Argentinian boss will be confident of leading his side to a third league win of the season as they travel to the Stadium of Light. However, former Spurs hero Gus Poyet has got the Black Cats playing some impressive football and it might not be plain-sailing for Tottenham up north.
A disappointing 1-0 defeat to QPR will have hurt Sunderland but they are more than capable of pushing Tottenham all the way on Saturday and have every chance of adding to their three league goals here.
However, Spurs won both head-to-head encounters last term and will be favoured to pick up another three points here. Despite winning each match in 2013/14, though, Tottenham were unable to keep a clean sheet and that should hopefully serve as a telling barometer of how things might pan out here.
The incentive for each side is equally high and we should see a ferocious battle. Nevertheless, Tottenham’s added quality should shine through.

Chesterfield V Scunthorpe United
Russell Wilcox’s Scunthorpe boast a fantastic recent record over Chesterfield but could come up short as they travel to the Proact Stadium this weekend.
Scunthorpe took four points from Chesterfield en route to promotion last term but it is the Spireites who have made the smoother transition to a higher division. Whilst the visitors struggle towards the depths of League One, the hosts enter this weekend’s schedule in the play-off spots and are emerging as early contenders for back-to-back promotions.
What makes Chesterfield’s achievements all the more impressive is that they’ve only played five games. Winning Saturday’s fixture would complete a perfect start to the campaign for Paul Cook’s men.
Five of the past six head-to-head meetings have ended in BTTS winners and we can see that trend continuing here. However, Scunthorpe’s good form in this fixture could come to a bitter end and we’re backing the Spirites to keep their fantastic start to 2014/15 going.

Stevenage V Shrewsbury Town
Since suffering relegation from League One in 2013/14, Stevenage and Shrewsbury have enjoyed contrasting starts to life in the basement tier and it is the visitors who will be most confident heading into Saturday’s afternoon showdown.
The Shrews sit fourth in the early season standings, just two points adrift of the automatic promotion spots, whilst Stevenage are languishing in the bottom half. Shrewsbury’s one downfall, though, is the fact they still seek a first away win of the campaign but there is no reason that can’t come at the Lamex Stadium.
Stevenage has been a happy hunting ground for the visitors, who claimed a 3-1 triumph in last season’s League One meeting. In fact, Micky Mellon’s men are unbeaten in the past seven encounters and should have the edge in this contest.
However, the hosts have hit four goals in three home matches and will fancy their chances of scoring again this weekend. On the other hand, Graham Westley’s men have also shipped six times here already and that will provide Shrewsbury with a lift.
It should be an exciting contest between the recently relegated rivals but we think the visitors will edge it.
