Saturday BTTS and win Tips 17th October – Going for Gold (£1500) at 888sport

Being a fan of both teams to score myself I can see absolutely no reason not to get involved on a weekly basis in the BTTS and win market. The returns on this bet are absolutely huge, and with stakes not needed to be high to get a massive payday this kind of bet is perfect for a Saturday afternoon in front of the TV for Gilette Soccer Saturday. Good luck!

Chelsea v Aston Villa

Surely Chelsea will get back to winning ways soon? The international break came at a good time for Jose Mourinho who will hope the shift in focus from the domestic scene would have allowed his players to clear their heads and get to a place where they can start picking up wins again.

In their defence, the two home defeats have come against decent away teams in Southampton and Palace so in their current predicament, Aston Villa are a perfect team to face as they attempt to get back on track at home.

The away team are on a bad run, 6 defeats in 7 and there is plenty of talk of whether Tim Sherwood is the right man for the job despite only being 8 months into his reign.

However, regardless of the bad results, at least the new boss has got Villa hitting the back of the net. After scoring in just 4/13 away games under former boss Paul Lambert last season, the away team have scored in 9/10 under Sherwood.

I do fancy Chelsea to win this one but they’ve already conceded 7 goals in 4 games and I’m not convinced they will keep a clean sheet.

Bet: Chelsea win and BTTS – 3.1 with 888sport

Cambridge v Northampton

Northampton have made a decent start to the season and are handily placed in the chasing pack in league 2 in 8th, just 2 points off second. A decent 3-2 victory at Wycombe last time on the road was followed by a 2-1 home win over Hartlepool and they have now won 4 of their last 6 games.

Cambridge were ruthlessly put to the sword by an impressive Portsmouth team in their last home game, going down 3-1. They’ve now lost 3/6 at home and their two victories came against the worst two away teams in the division. Conceding in 5/6 of their homes and 3 goals in 3/6, they’ve scored 1 goal in each of their last home 3 games.

Northampton have won their last 2 aways with both teams scoring and although it looks likely they could concede, I fancy them to still go on and win the game.

Bet: Northampton win and BTTS – 4.7 with 888sport

Crewe v Gillingham

No team has a better home record than Gillingham this season with their thrilling 3-3 draw with Oldham in their last game at Priestfield finally ending an 8 match winning run stretching back to the 11th April.

They bounced back with a 3-1 victory on the road at Chesterfield and despite this being only their 2nd away victory of the season, its notable that both of these wins have come against teams with poor home records and both featured BTTS.

There is no team with a worse home record in the division than Crewe. Despite turning round their away form where they are now unbeaten in 3, at home they are dreadful and have now lost their last 4, conceding 10 goals in the process. However, significantly for this bet, since an opening day goalless draw with Port Vale, they have scored in every home game.

Gillingham know it’s their away form that has to improve if they are to make an impact on this division and will be full of confidence that they can get another 3 points here but may well have to score more than once to do it.

Bet: Gillingham win and BTTS – 3.4 with 888sport
