Types Of Goal Bets

Team GolasHere at Goals Galore Tips as the name probably suggests, we love betting on goals. While some types of goal bets are well known and used by many punters, there are also some great goals markets that tend to go unnoticed although they very often offer fantastic value. Here we go through some of the markets available at a range of bookies that we like to take advantage of. You can find all of our betting tips on these markets within our Team goals – under/over tips section.

To score in both halves

As the name suggests, all we require to win our bet here id for our selected team to score in both the first and 2nd half. This is a great bet to place when there is a very strong favourite and it’s very likely they will score a  few goals. Paddy Power offer great odds on this bet, and we have utilised this for plenty of early stage Europa League/Champions League matches where well known teams face far inferior opposition.

To win both halves

Another market that normally requires a very hot favourite. We are effectively betting on the outcome of two mini games; the 1st half and the 2nd half. The team you select must win both halves of the game for the bet to be a winner. Being 3-0 up at half time and the game finishing 3-0 is not good enough in this bet. The first and 2nd halves must be considered completely different matches.

To win to nil

Another one of our favourites. In a very one sided looking match many people may consider backing Team A to keep a clean sheet such is their superiority. However bigger odds can be found in the ‘win to nil’ market which means your chosen must win the game without conceding a goal.

Both teams not to score

Most people like to bet on both teams to score but there are some football matches that stand out for the complete opposite bet. Both teams not to score simply means that at least one team must fail to score in each match you select. It doesn’t matter which team fails to score and a 0-0 draw is also a winning result.

This bet is great for a very tight looking match where both teams have good defensive form and don’t concede many goals. Maybe a match in which the short priced favourites, although in fine defensive form, have been less than sparkling offensively and are experiencing a bit of a goal drought. Remember in this bet it doesn’t matter which team fails to score, as long as at least one team does.
