Zulte-Waregem vs. Mouscron-Péruwelz – 7.00pm

Belgium – Saturday
BTTS – 8/11

The Belgium Jupiler League is usually dominated by Anderlecht, and this season appears to be no different as they tie at the top along with Gent on ten points. Zulte-Waregem and Mouscron-Péruwelz meet on Saturday and both sides will be aiming for a Europa League place as a benchmark for a succesful season. With the pair in direct competition- they will both be after three points.

Zulte-Waregem have not started the campaign with much of a bang. A midtable spot of 9th after four games has seen them win just once so far, which was back in game week one, 2-0 verses a poor Kortrijk. Points need to be picked up and this home game will be marked down as one they must find a victory. Now out of the Europa League, they have just the domestic campaign to focus on and with their last five games seeing BTTS land with a combined goal tally of 20 at either end- I can see forsee goals.

Mouscron-Péruwelz have started in a far more positive fashion, sitting in 5th place after four games, winning two and drawing one of their opening fixtures. Their only loss was suffered away from home to league leaders Anderlecht. Performances have been excellent and this was demonstrated last weekend in the 5-2 thrashing of Belgium heavyweights Standard Liège. The confidence gained from this game will certainly give them a boost and in turn should see a few more goals in their favour this weekend.

St Mirren vs. Dundee – 3.00pm

Scotland – Saturday
BTTS – 1/1

The Scottish Premier League is likely to be a foregone conclusion once more, but that will be no surprise to the 11 other clubs who will fight out for the remaining places. St Mirren and Dundee are two sides that are likely to finish in the lower echelons of the league table and will be focusing on avaoiding relegation before anything else. Both sides will fancy their chances which should lead us to an open game.

St Mirren will be more desperate for points on the board as they currently have zero after two games. Defeats to Hamilton and Motherwell do not make good reading, especially as they have yet to find the net in their opening 180 minutes of the season. I expect that to change here, they need a result and in front of a home crowd, they will attack from the start.

Dundee will be happy with how they have got underway back in the SPL – unbeaten in their first three games. All ending in draws, two of them being score-draws and we will take that today here at GG. Dundee will be no pushovers this season as they showed by taking a point off league leaders Inverness away from home and 1-1 results against Kilmarnock and Partick, give us reason to back them to find the net again today. The clincher for us, is that the previous three games between the sides have seen both sides scoring, with Dundee having two victories and St Mirren one.

Ajax vs. PSV – 3.45pm

Netherlands – Sunday
BTTS – 8/15

At least one of these two sides will be dropping their first points of the season when they meet this Sunday in ‘De Topper’ at Amsterdam ArenA. Last season’s Eredivisie champions are hosting as they aim for five consecutive titles in the Netherlands.

Ajax are looking excellent, having had a tough schedule to kick off their campain, they are passing every test. Last weekend they beat AZ away from home convincingly with a 3-1 scoreline and in game week one they dispatched Chelsea’s Reserve side, Vitesse, 4-1. I am expecting at least two more this weekend in the derby, and as you can see with their results so far, they are prone to concede.

PSV face a tough challenge to overcome Ajax here but Phillip Cocu’s team are certainly not short on goals either. Last weekend a 6-1 demolition of NAC Breda, shuttled the Eindhoven side to the top of the table and they will be looking to make a statement as they take on the Champions here. World Cup star, Memphis Depay is a man in scintilating form at present having already scored four goals in two games. I can see the flying winger adding to his tally here.

A £10 stake on the above treble will return £52.90
