Right then, we’ve had a couple of single winners over the past few weeks but now is the time to turn that into a big winner. That’s exactly what I’m trying to do this weekend with these three picks from the top flight.
It’s the most exciting league in the world, and I’m hopeful that the drama will see this trio of England internationals find the target. Once again, I’ll be on all three players as singles, and I’ll also be backing the 64/1 treble at SkyBet too!
Arsenal V Sunderland. 3PM
BET: Theo Walcott to score anytime at Evens with SkyBet
Sam Allardyce’s Sunderland have picked up back-to-back wins over the last couple of weeks. But the Black Cats could be in for an afternoon of bad luck as they take on a wounded Arsenal. And I’m backing Theo Walcott to underline his return to action with a goal.
The England man is back in contention for a start, and his pace could cause havoc for the ageing Sunderland defence. With the vital trip to Greece awaiting, Arsenal will be eager to build confidence after a couple of poor Premier League results. If they do score a few goals, there’s no doubt that Walcott’s name will be on the scoresheet.
There is a chance that Walcott will start on the bench. Even if he does, there’s every chance that he’d score as a sub. After all, those tired defensive legs will only give the 26-year-old even more space in the attacking final third.
Whether he starts or not, I’m backing the Gunners star to score. Double yer money by backing him too.
Manchester United V West Ham United. 3PM
BET: Wayne Rooney to score anytime @ 11/8 with SkyBet
The England captain has come under immense scrutiny in recent weeks, but there is no doubt that he remains one of Manchester United’s main stars. In truth, a home game against West Ham is the perfect opportunity for Wazza to end his barren run.
Slaven Bilic’s men have recorded some incredible results on the road this term. However, key injuries have left the Hammers with real problems. This is the sort of game where Louis van Gaal’s men will grind out a result, and Wayne Rooney has to be one of the leading candidates to provide the goals.
Additionally, Rooney has a great record against the Hammers. In recent years, he’s scored halfway line screamers, hat-tricks and genuinely enjoyed a rich vein of form. The 30-year-old will be hoping to use this clash as a platform to rediscover his form, and I’m backing him to do just that.
The poor form in front of goal has to change sooner rather than later. Doesn’t it?
Southampton V Aston Villa. 3PM
BET: Ryan Bertrand to score anytime @ 12/1 with SkyBet
My big prediction of the week is that Ronald Koeman’s Saints will register a big win against rock-bottom Villa. With this in mind, all Southampton players can be considered good value. And I’m backing left-back Ryan Bertrand to complete the trio of England goalscorers.
The former Chelsea man hasn’t found the target yet this term, but there’s no doubt that he knows there the target is. Given the opportunity, I’d always back him to beat the goalkeeper. And let’s face it, a home clash against the abysmal Villans is as good a chance as any.
I’m a sucker for value, and 12/1 for a goal at any time stands out as potentially fantastic value. Better still, it would boost the treble to a wonderful price too.
Is backing a full-back risky? Of course. But hopefully that gamble will pay off. Come on Ryan lad, do it for Martin.
As well as the singles, I’ll be on the treble too. A £10 stake returns £658.10 with SkyBet. Come on guys, please get the month of December off to a perfect start!
