Hi guys, Martin again. Champions League football is back and as the fourth round of fixtures begins, I’m looking to three players in particular for goals from Tuesday’s action.
It’s a big night for big players. I’m quietly confident that at least two of these can hit the net to provide a profitable night. But I can’t turn down odds of 29/1 on the treble at Betfred either.
Bring on the goals!
Manchester United V CSKA Moscow. 7:45PM
BET: Anthony Martial to score anytime @ 6/5 with Betfred
Anthony Martial scored a huge goal in Moscow two weeks ago, and I’m predicting another big moment for the marquee summer signing in this return clash at Old Trafford.
Louis van Gaal has openly admitted his concern at a lack of goals, but the teenage sensation has been the one player that has looked decent. His goal ratio hasn’t been brilliant in recent weeks, but he is still the best hope of goals for the Red Devils.
It won’t be an easy night for the hosts, but a victory on Tuesday night would put them in a great position to qualify out of Group B. The impetus has to be with the Red Devils, and they’ve got all the tools needed to prevail. There’s no doubt in my mind that Martial is the main asset.
Assuming United do get back amongst the goals, there’s no reason for me to doubt this selection
Sevilla V Manchester City. 7:45PM
BET: Kevin Gameiro to score anytime @ 7/4 with Betfred
Manchester City claimed a massive late win thanks to Kevin De Bruyne’s late winner at the Etihad. But the Citizens are in for a hugely difficult night in Spain, and Sevilla’s main man should have every chance of scoring.

Kevin Gameiro has been a top player for a long time now. He’s experienced great levels of success at the Europa League, and a goal against City could help him on the way to Champions League glory too.
The visitors tend to struggle for defensive stability in Europe. Sevilla are more than ready to capitalise on those shortcomings. Gameiro has to be the most likely player to benefit, which is why I’m backing him to do just that.
Sevilla are a great side, and Gameiro is a great player. Back the Frenchman to score.
Shakhtar Donetsk V Malmo. 7:45PM
BET: Bernard to score anytime @ 4/1 with Betfred
For Shakhtar, it already looks like being a case of Europa League football at best after Christmas. But the Ukrainians should score a fair few goals against Malmo. All of their attacking players will fancy their chances, and Brazilian winger Bernard has to be my tip to get amongst the goals
The hosts haven’t scored a single Champions League goal thus far, but have hit 11 in their last three on domestic soil. I’m backing that form to continue against a substandard Swedish away side. It’s a great chance for the 23-year-old to shine.
Malmo were lucky to win the reverse clash, but I can’t see the Swedes striking it lucky on foreign soil. Big win for Shakhtar in my opinion, it’s up to you choose a scorer.
For me, though, it has to be the Brazilian international.
