Both Teams To Score Tips Saturday 10th October – Back Goals In Lower Leagues

International football means no action from the Premier League or Championship, but there’s still plenty of action to sink our teeth into and we’ve picked three selections for a tempting BTTS treble.

We’re confident about these selections and will be more than happy with our afternoon’s work if the six teams do all find the target.

Fingers crossed for the boom.

Shrewsbury Town V Colchester United

Colchester United have been one of the surprise packages of English football this season, and Tony Humes men make this weekend’s trip to the New Meadow sitting 10th in the League One standings.

One of the chief reasons for their success has been their tendency for goals. The Eagles have notched nine goals on the road this term and will be looking to Marvin Sordell and George Moncur for inspiration at Shrewsbury.

Today’s BTTS treble pays a huge £125.50 with 888sport as they treble the odds of this bet if you open an account with them. The winnings are paid in cash too!

However, it’s hard to ignore the fact they’ve conceded 12 in just five away games. Those defensive weaknesses are something that Micky Mellon’s men will look to capitalise on as they look to register a third win from three at home.

We wouldn’t like to predict the winner of this one. But there’s certainly potential for goals. We’re backing both teams to score.

Carlisle United V Morecambe

Goals have been a common feature for both Carlisle and Morecambe this season and, on the face of it, this should be a definite BTTS winner. While the selection is a little more complex than that, we do think this League Two clash will bring at least one goal for both sides.

After 11 league matches, Keith Curle’s Cumbrians have scored 20 and conceded 19. Similarly the visitors have posted a return of 20 goals whilst leaking 21 at the opposite end. That’s 80 goals spread evenly over 22 matches. If that’s not reason for confidence, we don’t know what is.

A shock loss to Newport was Carlisle’s first BTTS loser at Brunton Park in 2015/16, but it is worth noting that this came just days after their valiant attempts at Anfield. Meanwhile, three of Morecambe’s last four away league matches have seen goals for both teams.

There are reasons to doubt this selection, but the stats are pointing towards a BTTS winner and we’re going to bet accordingly.

Dover Athletic V Wrexham

The Conference has been extremely exciting during the opening two months of the season and this weekend’s schedule looks set to satisfy our desire for goals once more. The pick of the action sees fourth-placed Dover welcome ninth-placed Wrexham to the Perrys Crabble Stadium. If it lives up to expectations, we should be in for a thriller.

Dover are in terrific form, winning four consecutive matches overall. However, three of those games have seen the losing side score twice, which will give visiting Wrexham confidence. Nevertheless, Chris Kinnear’s men are unbeaten on home soil and will expect to pick up another positive result here.

Gary Mills’ men aren’t in the best form, having registered just one point from the last possible 12. However, their past three matches have ended in BTTS winners with the Dragons scoring twice in each of those contests.

Both teams are scoring a lot of goals right now. While we do fancy the hosts to win, there’s no reason to think the visitors will fire a blank.
