The month of July is probably more exciting for the transfers rather than matches, but that won’t stop us trying to start the month with a weekend boom on the BTTS coupon.
We’re backing six teams to all find the target in a 9/2 treble. Let’s hope we can channel the Irish luck and secure the perfect start to a month of betting.
Good luck.
AC Oulu V FC Jazz. 2PM
Our first selection comes from Finland’s Ykkonen as struggling FC Jazz look to climb out of the relegation zone by picking up a positive result at AC Oulu. While the visitors do score a few goals, they should expect an intense battle at the Raatin Stadion.
FC Jazz have netted 13 goals in 11 league games so far, but their defensive troubles have resulted in four straight defeats for Jani Uotinen’s men. This is something they must look to address and you have to feel that attack is the best form of defence for a team that has already leaked 23 goals this term, including 11 in just five away matches.
However, AC Oulu aren’t the strongest of opponents and Rauno Ojanen’s men have lost back-to-back league games too. The hosts have scored six but conceded five from just four home games this term, which suggests there could plenty of drama in Saturday’s crucial meeting.
The last three head-to-head meetings have ended in BTTS winners. Expect a similar outcome here.

Longford Town V Bohemians. 7:30PM
Keith Long’s Bohemians hold a strong grip on recent head-to-head meetings with Longford Town and the Irish Premier Division’s third best away side will be expecting to claim another positive result at the City Calling Stadium.
Bohemians might not be the league’s most frequent scorers, although 23 from 17 isn’t bad, but they should fancy their chances of finding the target against a Longford defence that has leaked 22. The hosts will be up for this, though, and will be hopeful about bouncing back from the loss to Galway three weeks ago.
There are some pretty decent attacking players on display, with the likes of Dean Kelly, Adam Evans, Mark Salmon and David O’Sullivan all capable of producing that extra piece of magic. There should be chances at both ends of the pitch and we hope that will lead to a game of goals.
We’d be very surprised if Bohemians fire a blank. Odds of 5/6 on a home goal in Ireland, you’ve got to fancy your chances.

Sligo Rovers V Galway. 7:45PM
Results haven’t exactly gone to plan for Owen Heary’s Sligo this term but the Rovers will be quietly confident as they welcome an equally shaky Galway to the Snowgrounds on Saturday night.
Neither of the teams can defend for toffee at the moment. They’ve each conceded over 30 goals from 17 league matches and those defences are bound to afford chances to their opposing attackers in this important battle towards the bottom of Ireland’s Premier Division.
Sligo have only scored 16 times this season but a return of eight in eight home games is relatively promising as they are facing one of the division’s weaker sides here. At the same time, though, Tommy Dunne’s side shouldn’t have too much finding the target against a side sitting second bottom, especially if Enda Curran has his shooting boots on.
The hosts sneaked a 1-0 win in the reverse clash and we think they should find the target on home soil. Nonetheless, we just can’t envisage a clean sheet for Heary’s strugglers. Back both teams to score.
