This weekend’s football action serves up a fascinating concoction of fixtures from the Football League, non-league and cup competitions and we’re looking to take advantage of this rare combination by bashing the bookies to the tune of £45.
We’re backing these six sides to all find the target at some stage during the afternoon and are hopeful that this will be an easy 7/2 winner.
Good luck!
Huddersfield Town V Brentford
Chris Powell’s honeymoon period at Huddersfield is seemingly over as the Terriers enter this weekend’s match on the back of a four game winless streak and the hosts could be set for another difficult match against high-flying Brentford.
The visitors are just one point off the summit thanks to a run of five straight league wins and Mark Warburton’s men will be highly motivated for the trip to the John Smith’s Stadium. The Bees have also hit 12 goals in nine Championship away trips and will fancy their chances as they look to sting a Huddersfield team that has already shipped 32 league goals this term.
However, there are question marks surrounding a defence that has kept only two clean sheets on the road and the hosts will want to take advantage of those vulnerabilities.
Each of the past two head-to-head meetings on this ground have ended with a flurry of goals. Whilst the quality of each side has improved drastically since their most recent 2012 clash, we think the theme of entertainment will continue here.

Gillingham V Leyton Orient
It’s not often that you see a Johnstone’s Paint Trophy clash on a Saturday afternoon but we think this rarity will result in plenty of goals at Priestfield as League One rivals Gillingham and Leyton Orient do battle for a place in the Southern final.
With just two rounds standing between these rivals and a trip to Wembley, both sides will be eager to perform well in the attacking third. The past four head-to-head meetings, including three on this ground, have ended in BTTS winners and all six 21st century meetings in Kent have also ended with both teams on the scoresheet.
Additionally, the past three O’s fixtures and last five involving Gillingham have also ended in BTTS winners.
There are plenty of reasons to believe that this cup clash will be an entertaining affair. Let’s pray for plenty of action.

Nuneaton Town V Alfreton Town
Our final selection comes from the Conference clash between relegation rivals Nuneaton and Alfreton.
Both clubs are in the dreaded bottom four and will be desperate to pick up a vital victory here. That should result in an attack-minded contest and fans will be hoping to see plenty of action at Liberty Way.
Having conceded 45 apiece after just 23 games, neither defence will be overly confident heading into this clash. Despite not boasting too many goals this season, they’ve both been finding the target a little more regularly in recent weeks and that should be another source of optimism for this bet selection.
This will be an encounter packed with tension and could be tight during the opening exchanges. However, one goal could open the floodgates and we think both teams will score.
