Both Teams To Score Tips Thursday 1st October – Back Goals In Europa League Group Games

A fortnight ago, we celebrated the start of this year’s Europa League group phase with wins on both the Over 2.5 Goals and BTTS coupons. As we enter matchday two, we’re looking to the latter for yet another European boom.

We’ve pinpointed three games that should bring goals for both sides, and we’re hopeful that these six teams will find the target to land an impressive 11/2 BTTS treble at SkyBet.

It certainly wouldn’t be the worst way to start a new month.

Besiktas V Sporting Lisbon. 6.00pm

Our first selection comes from the Vodafone Arena as Turkish side Besiktas look to follow up their opening win over Skenderbeu with another three points against Sporting Lisbon. While the hosts can be confident, they should expect a tough test against a very solid opponent.

Senol Gunes’s men have found the net in all seven matches this term, netting 17 in total. With Mario Gomez and Cenk Tosun both finding the target on a regular basis, the Super Lig side should at least find the target on home soil.

However, Jorge Jesus’s side will have high hopes of reaching the knockouts in spite of their opening night loss to Lokomotiv Moscow. Their weekend stalemate with Boavista was the first time that they hadn’t been involved in a BTTS winner on the road, and we fully expect the goals to start raining again here.

Both teams will fancy their chances. Hopefully it will result in plenty of drama.

Rosenborg V Dnipro 6.00pm

Goals have been a common theme for Norwegian side Rosenborg this term, and it took just 16 minutes for both teams to score in their Group G opener in St Etienne. We can’t see any reason to think the goals will stop flowing as they welcome Dnipro to the Lerkendal.

Kare Ingebrigsten’s men last failed to score at home in May 2014 and, with Alex Soderlund and Pal Helland scoring for fun, there’s no reason to think they’ll be goal shy here. However, the Tippeligaen side certainly shouldn’t expect things all their own way against last year’s losing finalists.

The visitors certainly weren’t great on the road en route to last year’s final, but they did score in six of their last seven matches away from the Dnipro Arena. Meanwhile, the 1-1 home draw with Napoli two weeks ago is another reason to believe Myron Markeyvch’s men will both score and concede.

This isn’t likely to be a 4-4 thriller, but there should be enough opportunity for both teams to score.

Celtic V Fenerbahce. 8:05PM

Our first selection comes from Celtic Park as the SPL champions welcome Turkish side Fenerbahce to Glasgow in what should be one of the night’s most dramatic encounters. Let’s hope it will be one of the evening’s biggest scoring fixtures too.

Both teams were involved in thrilling matches on matchday one. The hosts registered a 2-2 draw at Ajax while the visitors slumped to a disappointing 3-1 home defeat against Molde. Despite that shock loss, though, Vitor Pereira’s men will be confident about securing a decent result here.

The Turks do boast the talents of Robin van Persie and Diego Ribas, so shouldn’t have any troubles in the attacking third. If they do find the target, it will be the 10th consecutive game that they’ve achieved this feat, and it’s hard to see them firing a blank against a weak Celtic.

Nevertheless, Ronny Deila’s men can be optimistic on home soil against an away defence that has conceded seven goals in just three matches. If they can get the ball up to Leigh Griffiths, the hosts should score too.
