Tuesday’s football schedule serves up a selection of Champions League and English league matches, and we’re casting our attentions to the latter for our early week BTTS special.
We’re backing the six following teams to all find the target. At odds of over 7/2, it has to be tempting for a midweek punt.
Come on.
Fleetwood Town V Millwall
Neil Harris’s Millwall are in fantastic form right now, which was underlined by their emphatic win over Colchester at the weekend. However, the Lions shouldn’t expect things all their own way as they make the trip to Highbury.
After all, Fleetwood boast 17 goals in just nine home matches. Meanwhile, strikers Bob Grant and Jamie Proctor are both capable of goals. The hosts are also in high confidence after hitting five past Swindon on Saturday.
Nevertheless, Steven Pressley’s men are unlikely to keep the in-form visitors at bay. Millwall are now unbeaten in six and have netted 15 in eight away games. If they can get the ball to Aiden O’Brien, they’ll have every reason to fancy their chances.
We’d edge towards an away win, but the smart money has to be on goals.

Plymouth Argyle V Leyton Orient
League Two leaders Plymouth may have suffered a disappointing defeat at home to Exeter on Saturday, but the Pilgrims could send a real warning to their rivals by clinching three points against Leyton Orient.
Derek Adams has still seen his side score 15 times in just nine matches at Home Park. Moreover, the firepower of Jake Jervis and Reuben Reid should give the hosts every chance of scoring against an away side that has leaked 16 on the road.
Nevertheless, the Os do boast the division’s top scorer in Jay Simpson. The visitors have netted 13 away goals this season. Meanwhile, their past three competitive games have ended in BTTS winners, as have Plymouth’s last two.
Both teams are aiming for promotion and this could be a key fixture as we approach the busy Christmas period. Attack could be the best form of defence in each camp, which is why we’re backing both teams to score.

Chester V Dover Athletic
There are only two matches taking place in the Conference on Tuesday night, but there’s still plenty of room for drama as Chester welcome Dover Athletic to the Swansway.
Goals have been a common theme for both sides. Chester have scored 17 and conceded 14 from their 11 home games while Dover boast 18 on the road whilst conceding 17. If this isn’t a recipe for goals, then we don’t know what is.
Chris Kinnear’s visitors have played four straight BTTS winners in all competitions too. Deadly duo Stefan Payne and Ricky Miller boast 15 league goals between them while they’ve failed to find the target just once in their last 11 league games.
The hosts are equally likely to score, though. It will be tough for the home side to win but there’s no reason to doubt their ability in the final third. It should be a game of high drama, let’s hope that it lives up to the billing.
