Both Teams To Score Wednesday 22nd May – A Tasty Double

goals galoreThere’s still a few competitions in Europe and beyond that are yet to finish their seasons and there’s normally plenty of goals around at this stage.  I’m looking to some action around the world this Wednesday that I think could be great for a little Both Teams to Score bet.

FC Trenkwalder Admira vs Rapid Vienna
With 2 games left this season in the Austrian Bundesliga there is still plenty to achieve for both of these sides. Admira sit 3rd from bottom and only 2 points clear of the drop so they really need the home points here to avoid needing a win on the last day of the season to survive. Rapid Vienna sit 3rd in the league but are only 4 points clear of dropping out of the Europa League spots.

The reason I’ve chosen this fixture though is because of a recent turn in fortunes for Admira combined with a great both teams to score record away from home for Rapid Vienna. Admira have scored in 4 of their last 5 home games with a 0-2 loss against top of the table Austria Vienna the only exception. Their only clean sheet in these 5 games was against fellow strugglers Mattersburg. Rapid Vienna have won just 1 of their last 7 on the road but a 2-0 loss to Mattersburg in their last away game was the first time that they have failed to score in 7 away from home and their 8th consecutive away game where they have failed to keep a clean sheet.

Mlada Boleslav vs Jablonec – 4/6
With a total of 22 goals scored and 22 goals conceded away from home, Jablonec are a great bet when it comes to both teams to score accas. Their last 5 games on the road have finished 2-1, 2-2, 3-3, 5-1, and 5-1, which gives you some indication of exactly what I mean. None of these results have gone their way but they are perfectly capable of grabbing a goal.

Mlada Boleslav have failed to score only twice at home this season against top of the league Victoria Plzen and 4th placed Sigma Olomouc. They’ve actually been quite good for a clean sheet or two this season but a 2-3 loss in their last home game against Slovan Liberec proved that they are susceptible to leaking the odd goal or 3.

The most convincing statistic here though is that the two sides met only 4 days ago in the cup in a game which finished 2-2 before Jablonec progressed on penalties. Expect a similar scoreline today.
