Following last night’s storming 5/1 Champions League BTTS treble by Liam that landed for our readers I though it only right that we try and continue the winning trend with Wednesday’s fixtures. Having been just one goal short of landing last weekend’s offering I’m back again to try and claim a Wednesday night winner.
Here are my BTTS selections for tonight.
[toggle title=”Arsenal 5/1 or Liverpool 6/1 at Betfair… Read on“]Betfair are offering a massive 5/1 Arsenal or 6/1 Liverpool to win their Champions League games tonight. All you’ve got to decide is which one you are going to go with and then reap the rewards of these massive odds enhancements.Personally I’d recommend the Arsenal win at 5/1. Galatasaray aren’t great travellers and Arsenal desperately need to get some points on the board.

Selection BTTS YES – 1.66 Betfair Sportsbook
Liverpool travel to Switzerland to face Basel and I’ve got a picture in my head of a very tough game for the Reds. Rodgers team will be looking to bounce back to winning ways after a disappointing draw with Everton at the weekend and a less than perfect performance against Ludogorets on Matchday 1 even though they claimed the 3 points.
The visitors aren’t short of goals even without Daniel Sturridge. They’ve failed to score in just 2 of their last 25 games in all competitions and I’m completely confident that they’ll breach Basel’s goal at some point.
On to the home side. They’re seasoned Champions League performers and have a rich history of giving Europe’s best teams a run for their money. They’ve failed to score in just 2 of their last 15 Champions League home ties and have beaten the likes of Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Manchester United in the last 3 years on home turf.
Basel sit top of the Swiss league after 10 games and I’m supremely confident that they’ll bag the goal required for them for the bet. Liverpool haven’t looked the greatest defensively this season so far. Get on BTTS is my opinion.
Malmo v Olympiakos 7.45pm
Selection BTTS YES – 1.95 Betfair Sportsbook
One of the lesser exciting games in terms of the quality of the teams playing but it looks a BTTS winner nevertheless and that’s all we’re worried about.
Malmo kicked off their Champions League group stage campaign off with a 0-2 loss against Juventus in Turin and will be eyeing this clash with Olympiakos as one of their best chances of collecting 3 points. Likewise, Olympiakos won’t be fearing a visit to Sweden and will be bouncing after beating Atletico Madrid 3-2 in Greece last time out.
In fact, Olympiakos have scored at least 1 goal in 5 of their last Champions League away ties, eliminating any fears of them being a classically low scoring defence minded team in Europe.
This clash has all the hallmarks of a BTTS game and is definitely added to my coupon.
Fulham v Bolton 7.45pm
Selection – BTTS YES – 1.72 Betfair Sportsbook
A Championship clash concludes my Wednesday treble and this fits the bill perfectly. Struggling teams playing struggling teams normally produces the goods where BTTS is concerned and both of these clubs can be classed as struggling.
Fulham have improved their fortunes since the departure of madcap dictator Felix Magath, but they are yet to keep a single clean sheet in the league so far this term. Bolton have kept just 1 and that was a 0-0 draw at home with Sheffield Wednesday.
Neither team will be happy with anything other than a win in this game. Occupying 22nd and 23rd position in the league respectively is not good enough for either of these teams. Expect some fireworks and some goals tonight.
The treble pays best at Betfair Sportsbook, paying £55.70 for a £10 stake
