Over 2.5 Goals Tips Sat 2nd April – Could the Post-Easter charge bring goals to the table?

This week’s over 2.5 goals tips sees two games from the Championship and one from League one, which pays 5.83 with Skybet. All the sides featured have seen goals in recent times and with form should follow suit again this weekend!

Bolton Vs Reading

Rooted to the foot of The Championship a dozen points off the drop and it does not look good. It feels like the Trotters at best can reach just forty-four points now, six points fewer than the last team currently safe. Coral are still best priced 100/1 ON Bolton are relegated and just 1/8 to finish rock bottom.

The Royals make the trip to the Macron uncertain themselves with relegation not out of sight and can take the points against Bolton without a win in the last eight. It is interesting that in the league table home and away, both sit in the same respective position at the wrong end.

Bolton have been subjected to new ownership, which effectively ended the HMRC from winding the club up and their manager Neil Lennon left by mutual consent. It does not look good for Bolton but have kept faith netting in six of the last eight. Reading without a win in four is suffering on the road and are about to fall over the line for safety. Nevertheless the visitors can mount a challenge against Bolton to take control of the game. Whether or not Bolton has given up, I highly doubt that, but with the correct strategy can frustrate Bolton, who is not short of goals themselves.

Five of the last six Bolton games have seen over two goals, with four of which seeing both sides net. Reading on the other hand does not travel particularly well and could be a blowout bet to avoid on the outright. I do think they are capable of scoring, as Bolton has leaked one or more in all of the last seven at the Macron. I do feel both teams need the win for different reasons. It makes you think how much of Bolton’s drubbing at Bristol City has taken out of the team spirit and how much can McDermott’s Reading use their recent displays to power home a valuable away win?

With a combined six from eight combined seeing three or more, with evens offered for three or more again certainly on the recent form does weigh in the punters favour surely?

Fulham Vs MK Dons

Karl Robinson’s MK Dons are in a little trouble, but so are hosts managed by Slaviša Jokanović in West London in the very charming Craven Cottage.

Fulham are winless in their last six games but has conceded at least one goal in all bar a small handful at Craven this term. To picture the London sides luck have lost their last three. A win for either side could reverse their league positions with Fulham hanging in there by a thread by a single point. With both having six games to play, Robinson’s men need to capitalise on being the stronger team. Fulham certainly have seen high scoring games averaging in excess of three goals a game with a staggering sixty-three percent of all games at home with three or more goals.

The way this game has to play out is for Fulham to continue playing the fluid style of football and can utilise that MK’s netting ability away from home is far from competent having conceded nearly double the goals netted.

There is little doubt both sides need to go for this and with their only other meet a stalemate, this meeting holds a degree of urgency behind it. The last four Fulham home games has seen three head over on goals and with Ross McCormack on twenty goals this term needs to rev back into gear to assist the hosts in remaining in the Championship. MK Dons has played some below par performances, but need top scorers Josh Murphy and Carl Baker to break through the leaky Fulham defence quietly confident this game will be shortlisted as a both teams to score game this weekend.

Either side will need one further goal to seal the deal and certainly do not see this as a low scoring draw.

Peterborough Vs Crewe

It looks as though Posh led by Graham Westley, a well-established and respected league manager will look to see out League one in the best possible position and play and welcome Steve Davis’s Railway men, who could effectively be relegated but not mathematically if they lose this weekend.

Crewe effectively twelve points from safety with their inferior goal difference and play Posh ten points ahead of safety.

How precarious is Crewe’s position? Looking at key stats Crewe have lost their last four and winless in the last ten games. Davis’s men’s latest demise has fallen at the hands of conceding at least one goal in each of their last ten and importantly are without a win in their last nine away.

Playing a fluid style against Peterborough should be an experience for the visitors where goals are generally on the menu at the ABAX. With Posh netting and conceding plenty including netting in all of the last seven in all competition and conceding in all of the last six at home. Looking further Westley’s men have failed to keep more than three clean sheets in nineteen and the same number failing to score.

Crewe is in a desperate state and Peterborough knowingly leak goals, but also power home goals so an ideal game for both and with the hosts boasting one of the better goals records. The home fans will surely be powering for a top half finish now surely.

Including this to our treble will be a nice treat to collect come tea time Saturday!
