The first weekend of March signals a monumental moment in the English football season as every game from this point on can be make or break. With a heightened need for goals, we’re hoping to take advantage with this BTTS treble.
We’re backing these six teams from England’s top five divisions to all find the onion bag. There is a strong argument for each selection and we’re hoping this will lead to a comfortable winner.
At odds of 7/2, have a bang on that!
QPR V Tottenham Hotspur
A London derby between QPR and Tottenham will always be passionate, but the circumstances surrounding this particular fixture should make for an extra intense atmosphere at Loftus Road and we’re hoping that will precipitate into goals.
There is no secret that both teams need the points for completely different reasons. Whilst QPR are hoping that their home form will be enough to keep them in the division, Spurs know that they need wins if they are going to achieve their dream of Champions League football. Make no mistake; neither team will be overly happy with a draw and we’re expecting both sides to adopt an attacking approach.
In Charlie Austin and Harry Kane, the two clubs boast the top scoring Premier League Englishmen and both sides will be looking to their respective hotshot striker for inspiration. Meanwhile, neither team has the greatest defence and that will surely encourage the attacking players throughout this crucial fixture.
Tottenham smashed four past the Hoops at White Hart Lane and we’d expect them to enjoy some success here. However, the hosts are a completely different proposition on home soil and they can cause problems too.

Wigan Athletic V Leeds United
Championship strugglers Wigan need wins on the board if they are going to produce the Great Escape and Malky Mackay’s men will view a home game against Leeds as a great opportunity to do just that. However, the Latics should expect a tough test from an equally optimistic Whites.
The visitors will be confident against one of the division’s bottom three and will be hopeful of securing the victory that would quite probably ensure their survival. Neil Redfearn’s men aren’t the most frequent scorers on the road, but they do tend to find the target and should have no problem notching against the lacklustre Latics.
On the other hand, Leeds have some real issues at the back and are conceding far too regularly on the road. That poor defence is an area Mackay’s hosts must look to capitalise on and we’d expect Wigan to attack from the off as they desperately need all three points. However, they can take huge inspiration from their 2-0 Boxing Day triumph at Elland Road.
This is a crucial game for both teams and we suspect that attack will be the theme of the day. Back both teams to score.

Barnet V Forest Green Rovers
The Vanarama Conference has been awash with high-scoring contests throughout 2014/15 and we can’t see the goals drying up as two high-flying rivals meet at the Hive. The atmosphere should be buzzing and we’re anticipating a strong display from both sides.
Home side Barnet are still very much in the hunt for automatic promotion and the league title and will be eager to fire a warning to Bristol Rovers with a comfortable win over one of the division’s better sides. The Bees stung Forest Green with a 2-1 away win September and Martin Allen would love a repeat scoreline here.
However the visitors will be in a positive frame of mind following a 10-game unbeaten streak and can also look to their impressive away from for inspiration. Adrian Pennock’s men have lost just three times on the road all season, additionally boasting 25 goals from just 18 away games. They’ll be expecting to take advantage of a home defence that has shipped a few goals recently, but will be equally aware that Barnet have already posted a phenomenal 42 goals at the Hive.
The incentive for both teams to win is huge and we’re expecting a lively affair. That, combined with the fact these are two of the division’s top three scoring teams, leads us to think we’re in for another BTTS winner.
