We reach the closing day of the season for The Championship in England but despite English football reaching its climax, there’s still a feast of football going on around Europe as well.

Borussia Dortmund vs Bayern Munich – 8/15
BTTS odds – 8/15 Sky Bet
We have a sample of the Champions League Final this weekend in Germany and there will no doubt be a host of changes for both sides as they don’t want to reveal their hands before the big game. Bayern already have the German title wrapped up and with Dortmund having all but sealed 2nd place and Champions League football again next season, this could be a completely different affair than we would normally expert.
We all know how good Bayern are at keeping a clean sheet, they shut out Barcelona over 180 minutes and that’s enough to give anyone confidence that they could shut out Dortmund today; in normal circumstances. Their lineup however is going to change dramatically going into this game and the youngsters and back benchers will be looking to stake their claims for both sides. A win with a 2nd string side would no doubt be a small but bitter blow heading into the final and I can only see both sides looking to attack.
Dortmund have failed to score just once at home this season and Bayern have scored in every away game of the season so far. Both sides are attacking and are capable of goals at the best of times, let alone when there is a statement to make. Their last meeting on this ground was a 5-2 thriller and I expect much of the same today.
Nottingham Forest vs Leicester
BTTS odds – 4/6 Sky Bet
Never has a Midlands derby meant to much as it does in this Championship fixture. A draw here would mean that both sides miss out on the playoffs whereas a win for either team could see them steal the last playoff spot from Bolton on the final day of the season. Though the chances of either of these teams reaching the play-offs is slim, it could happen and both will be fighting for goals and fighting for promotion regardless of what happens at The Reebok.
The previous meeting between the two finished 2-2 back in November and though the same result would seal the fate of both clubs today, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the same amount of goals.
The most encouraging sign for both teams finding the net here is Leicester’s current form. Their last 5 consecutive games have all resulted in both teams finding the back of the net and they have conceded 2 or more goals in 4 of these games. Forest are not so convincing with 3 of their last 5 home games seeing both teams score, but they have scored in 8 of their last 10 here and also kept only 2 clean sheets in the process.
With all to play for there is certain to be goals at the City Ground this afternoon. Goals Galore seems all but a certainty in this game.
Norwich vs Aston Villa
BTTS odds – 8/11 Sky Bet
There’s two things that Aston Villa don’t do; give up or clean sheets. The fight that we’ve seen from them in recent weeks has been astounding and a stellar performance against Sunderland in the week was unexpected, but impressive. But even with 6 goals themselves, they were still unable to keep a clean sheet, something that they have failed to do for the whole of 2013 so far. Their last clean sheet came at home to Stoke back in December and with all to play for at the foot of the Premier League, there is likely to be goals at Carrow Road today.
Norwich sit just 1 point clear of today’s opponents and only 6 points clear of the drop with 3 games remaining. They could yet be dragged into a relegation battle and though 2 of their last 5 home games have finished 0-0, the other 3 have resulted in both teams finding the net. Norwich can be hit and miss at times, but they will need to set out to attack if they are to get anything from a determined Villa side.
8 of Villa’s last 10 games have resulted in both teams finding the net and with their hitman Benteke in great form at the moment, they can certainly grab a goal at any time. The last meeting between the pair finished 1-4 in the League Cup and both of their meetings this season have resulted in both teams finding the net. I expect that to be made 3 out of 3 this afternoon.
